Will offer support to secondary students through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life  program, in-office mentoring, and staff volunteering opportunities

October 29, 2021— Quantcast, a global advertising technology company, today announced a new partnership with leading Australian education charity, The Smith Family.

Under the new 12-month charity collaboration plan, Quantcast will support the education of 33 senior secondary students through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life child sponsorship program. Learning for Life is designed to help families with the costs associated with education and ensure young people stay engaged and motivated at school and further their studies.

The Learning for Life program is delivered in communities across Australia, providing financial assistance for education essentials, access to out-of-school learning, mentoring programs, and tailored support for students and their families throughout the learning journey.

The Smith Family also works to provide opportunities for young people experiencing disadvantage to develop their career aspirations, experience the world first-hand, and access mentorship. Quantcast will take part in The Smith Family’s Work Inspiration career mentoring and work experience program, to inspire students who may be interested in the technology sector. The company will facilitate in-office “welcome to the workforce” sessions to help students understand and operate in a workplace setting.

The collaboration plan also includes opportunities for Quantcast staff to directly engage with The Smith Family’s programs, including volunteering at events like the charity’s annual Toy and Book Appeal.

Quantcast’s Head of Marketing APAC and lead for the partnership, Rachael Townsley, said the business was thrilled to partner with one of Australia’s most recognised and valuable charities.

“We share The Smith Family’s vision of giving every person a chance to achieve their potential. It saddens me to think that some people don’t get an equal start in life, which has a potential impact into their adult years. In supporting The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, we hope to play a positive part in changing the lives of young Australians living in poverty. This is our opportunity as a business to give back in a truly meaningful way by providing both financial support and opportunities to directly mentor and work with young people,” she said.  “Additionally we recently launched the Quantcast Academy which is available to this group to learn about the digital advertising industry and another way for us to give back.”

The Smith Family’s Deputy CEO, Judy Barraclough, said: “We’re looking forward to working with the Quantcast team to support more young adults in need across Australia. With one in six young people living in poverty nationwide, it’s critical we provide educational support for students and their families to help break the cycle of disadvantage. Partnerships like the one with Quantcast help us to support over 58,000 students a year through our Learning for Life program–and we’re really grateful for this as we know this support can be life-changing.”

Quantcast will also host fundraising initiatives throughout the year, aimed at raising additional funds for The Smith Family. Last month, Quantcast donated $10,000 as part of their industry survey initiative, where they donated $20 for each entry into the survey.
