Mike Smith was named Chief Data Officer of Hearst Magazines, a newly created role, in February. He is responsible for the strategy and ongoing development of the company’s digital advertising operations, data capabilities, ad product offerings, sales support strategy and international revenue-focused initiatives, and non-direct revenue partnerships. He also oversees the development of Hearst Magazines’ industry-leading data competency across the organization, including CDS Global, a technology-driven division of the company that provides outsourced business solutions across multiple industries.
