Interview Exercises Sales Presentation Field Sales

Introduction

This is a role play situation where you are tasked with presenting in person – after an initial “cold” discovery call. You will present to two interviewers.

Guidelines

  • Use a real-life client example that you have worked with in the past/currently, one that you know very well. Our interviewers will act as your chosen client and the roles you have assigned them.
  • You will also assign yourself a role and pick a product (or service) that you will be pitching. We encourage you to act as yourself in your current position and sell what you are currently selling.
  • The interviewers will ask questions as the client throughout and they will look for you to pitch, build and establish value and ultimately close the deal.
  • Please send a “brief”/summary ahead of time to your Recruiter stating who you are playing, what the scenario is: product, client, situation to date etc. – i.e. “I am acting as myself, an Account Executive from X company and I am going to be discussing our X product offering today. You are Y company (a client I have reached out to) and I am going to be presenting to the Marketing Manager and Performance Manager.” Please also include some context around why you feel the offering suits this client.
  • Consider how you build and position the real value of your offering with the chosen client, especially in this assumed scenario.

Keep in mind

  • The presentation should be no longer than 30 minutes and it should be completed using PowerPoint slides.
  • The total interview will be 45 mins, so if there is time left the interviewers will do some Q&A about you and your experience.
  • Let the Recruitment Coordinator or Recruiter know if you are bringing your own laptop or you will need us to provide one.
  • We do not expect you to present Quantcast, stick with what you know!
