Q Employee Spotlight: Black History Month

Quantcast is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment where employees can confidently be their authentic selves. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) exist to unite Quantcasters around shared interests related to identity.

Hear from Erik Bortz, the co-founder of the Diversity Leadership Group, our ERG for underrepresented minorities and their allies, on what Black History Month means to him.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Black History Month to me means observance and reflection. Thinking about what was required to get to where we are today while being mindful of the achievements across black history that are to be celebrated and treasured.

Who is someone making Black History today?

Colin Kaepernick will be an important part of Black History when we look back on the change he inspired.

Who inspires you?

My mother, without a doubt, is the strongest person I know, and I am inspired by her every day.

Can you give me one word that in your mind characterizes Black History Month?
