Nexus One Launch Performance

Last month we published our Mobile Web Trends report. We’ll be highlighting more interesting trends from time to time and thought we’d kick off with a look at the launch of Google’s Nexus One.

This chart shows the relative share of mobile web consumption attributable to the Nexus One in the United States. Prior to launch Google employees had access to the device and presumably the bulk of the pre-launch consumption is attributable to them.

If you saw our appearance on Fox Business, you’ll know we had some questions about how support for a device decoupled from a carrier might play out. Perhaps the rather lackluster take up on the Nexus One indicates that consumers feel the same way?
