iPad UK Launch Surpasses US

Recently we highlighted how consumers in the UK were getting their iPad fix well ahead of the initial launch. Well, those who couldn’t get a version shipped to them didn’t have to wait too long and Apple’s iPad officially launched in the UK on May 28.

As we can see, the response so far looks very strong. For comparison purposes, measured as a percentage of overall web consumption, the iPad captured 40% more share in the two days after release in the UK than it did in the same period in the US – of course, with all the imports that found their way over the pond in advance, the UK had a little head start.
