We’re excited to announce Content Segments for Quantcast Measure!
Content Segments help you understand the audiences that visit different parts of your site. You can now get audience data for the categories, authors, keywords, and individual articles in your site.
Use Content Segments to answer:
- What types of users are visiting your News section? Sports section? Compare audience age, education level, household income, and more to optimize your content.
- Are readers of your Lifestyle section interested in reading additional content about Arts & Entertainment or Gardening? Surface new article ideas for each content segment.
- Do your products attract different audiences? Uncover differences in demographics and interests to ensure your marketing efforts align with who your users really are.
How does it work?
Content Segments work by looking for specific HTML meta tags in a website and aggregating the data based on those meta tags. For example, if you enable Content Segments for authors, we will look for the meta tag author in the webpage and create a Content Segment for every author that is tagged. A webpage may have the meta tag author:John Smith in which case we will analyze all the visitors to that page (and any other page written by John Smith) and present the data in a Content Segment called author → John Smith.
