The site appeals to people across all income brackets and age groups — increasing in popularity as the audience grows older.  It appeals slightly more to men that to women, and is especially popular with those who hold an advanced degree.

In terms of auto information, Consumer Affairs fans prefer AutoBlog, CarTalk and Automobile Magazine.  For political information, they turn to The Nation, Salon and Wonkette, two of which are also Quantified Publishers.
