SAN FRANCISCO, May 9, 2018 – Quantcast, which owns and operates the world’s largest AI-driven audience insights and measurement platform for the open internet, today announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Day as Chief Technology Officer. Day joined Quantcast in 2016 and most recently served as vice president of engineering.
Day began his career in academia researching machine learning before moving into the finance sector. In a number of roles, including executive director of equity derivatives technology at UBS, he designed and built systems to help financial organisations better understand risk and automate faster and more effective trading.
Day’s promotion is the latest in a series of recent senior appointments for Quantcast, including Steven Wolfe Pereira as chief marketing officer, Rob Horler as chief operating officer, Meredith Long as chief revenue officer for North America, and Sam Barnett as chief product officer.
Based on live first-party data drawn from more than 100 million mobile and web destinations worldwide, Quantcast’s insights combine with its machine learning technology to automate the process of understanding, predicting, and acting on shifts in consumer behaviour for advertisers and publishers. In his new role, Day leads all of Quantcast’s technical operations spanning its engineering and research teams.
