TORONTO — Quantcast, a technology company specializing in real-time advertising and audience measurement, announced today the expansion of its Toronto office and the appointment of Tina Barnes as head of Canadian field sales.

“Entering a new international market can present a challenge for any company looking to maintain the performance, attentiveness and industry leadership that customers expect from truly great partners. With Barnes leading the way, we’re positioned to make Quantcast the one-stop shop for digital marketers in Canada. Her knowledge and experience with the Canadian market is an incredible asset to our team,” said Scott Spaulding, head of eastern and central field sales.

Barnes joins Quantcast from Adconion (now Amobee), where she was VP and managing director for seven and a half years. She was part of the original team to launch Adconion in Canada and previously introduced CareerBuilder in Canada, as well. With a track record of multiple successful Canadian launches, Barnes is poised to grow Quantcast significantly in the Canadian market.

“Many companies talk about data,” said Barnes, “but can’t confidently say they’re one of the largest data processors in the world. Quantcast has been measuring real-time Web activity for quite some time and has amassed the greatest proprietary data set outside of search and social. I joined Quantcast to help Canadian marketers tap into this incredible opportunity and reach relevant consumers online with unparalleled accuracy and scale.”
