SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 1, 2018 – Quantcast, which owns and operates the world’s largest AI-driven audience insights and measurement platform for the open internet, today announced the appointment of Simon McPhillips as Marketing Director for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). McPhillips previously led marketing and brand for Vodafone UK, the nation’s biggest brand. He will be based in Quantcast’s London office reporting into Quantcast’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Steven Wolfe Pereira.

In a career spanning more than 20 years, McPhillips has held senior marketing roles for some of the world’s largest brands, including AT&T, Kimberly-Clark, Sprint, and BP. An expert in leading digital transformation across large organisations, he has worked across the UK, Germany and the US. McPhillips’ appointment follows recent senior hires for Quantcast from companies including GE, Facebook, Time Inc., and Dentsu Aegis.

Based on live first-party data drawn from more than 100 million mobile and web destinations worldwide, Quantcast’s insights combine with its machine learning technology to automate the process of understanding, predicting, and acting on shifts in consumer behaviour. In his new role, McPhillips will be focused on driving Quantcast’s continued revenue growth in the region. Core to this will be driving engagement among the region’s CMOs and senior brand leaders across advertisers and publishers.

Commenting on his appointment, McPhillips said, “I’ve witnessed Quantcast’s continued growth and success in recent years and believe we’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to helping brands grow in the AI era. Quantcast’s unique data and machine learning technology make it ideally placed to help CMOs get a complete picture of how best to plan, deliver and measure the richest digital brand experience and, ultimately, achieve their business objectives. I’m excited to have the opportunity to help tell the Quantcast story.”

Commenting on the appointment, Steven Wolfe Pereira, Quantcast CMO, said, “The EMEA region has been a strategic priority for Quantcast ever since we opened our London office in 2010. Since then, we have added offices in Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Sweden as we’ve continued to grow our client base among the region’s advertisers, agencies and publishers. Simon’s expertise in helping brands navigate through digital transformation makes him the ideal candidate to help the region’s brand leaders adapt to a new reality of digital advertising under GDPR and to wider trends in the industry. We’re thrilled to have him on the team.”
