After serving as an independent advisor for more than a year, Stephen R. Collins joined Quantcast as chief financial officer in 2015 and became president and CFO in 2016. Collins’s experience includes Big Four audits, Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods, expatriate assignments in emerging geographies, ad technology and online advertising, enterprise software, software-as-a-service (SaaS), e-commerce and social media.
During his career in technology Collins has held the titles of chief executive officer, chief financial officer, chief information officer and chief innovation officer. Most recently, Collins served as chief executive officer and a director of Bazaarvoice (NASDAQ: BV). Prior to his appointment as CEO and director, Collins was the company’s chief financial officer and chief innovation officer, leading the company’s successful IPO and follow-on offering in 2012. Before joining Bazaarvoice, Collins was CEO of Juris, Inc., a leading legal technology software provider acquired by LexisNexis in 2007. Collins joined DoubleClick in 1997, helping to lead its 1998 IPO before becoming CFO in 1999 and later adding chief information officer responsibilities to leading all research and development. Collins began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers before taking a financial leadership role at Colgate-Palmolive Company.
He received his bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Alabama. He is a director for a number of private technology companies, including Kenshoo and iCitizen.
