With around 26,000 students attending its main campus in Albuquerque, The University of New Mexico is most renowned for its schools of medicine, law, and education. Nearly 7,000 additional students attend one of the school's four branches located around the northern part of the state at Taos, Los Alamos, Gallup, and Valencia. Through its eight schools and colleges, the university offers 100 bachelor's degrees, some 70 master's degrees, about 40 doctorate degrees, and a variety of certificates and education specializations.
