Golub operates about 115 Price Chopper supermarkets in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, upstate New York, northeastern Pennsylvania, and Vermont. It also runs Mini Chopper service stations and convenience stores. Golub discontinued its HouseCalls home delivery service in 2001 but is giving home delivery another try. Brothers Bill and Ben Golub founded the company in 1932. Today the Golub family runs the company and owns 45% of the regional grocery chain; employees own slightly more than 50%.
