Palomar College helps its students to reach for the stars. The public two-year community college has a student body of approximately 30,000, about a quarter of whom are enrolled full-time. It offers more than 200 associate degree and certificate programs. Palomar students can also complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree or take not-for-credit personal enrichment classes. In addition to its main campus in San Marcos (30 miles north of San Diego), Palomar operates an educational center in Escondido, and seven smaller centers throughout San Diego County.
