Palmetto Health provides a comprehensive range of healthcare services to residents of Columbia, South Carolina, and surrounding areas through a network of hospitals and health service providers. Palmetto operates a 650-bed teaching hospital, Palmetto Health Richland, which is affiliated with the University of South Carolina Medical School. It also operates the 490-bed Palmetto Health Baptist Columbia hospital, as well as Palmetto Health Baptist Easley, a 110-bed general acute-care community hospital in the Appalachian highlands.
