Like its parent, Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk offers an almost endless list of products to its online UK customers -- from music, books, and toys, to blenders, jewelry, and MP3 players. It used to run online bookstores for Waterstone's and Borders UK, but stopping doing so in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Amazon.co.uk sold its DVD rental service to LoveFilm International in 2008; Amazon Europe now owns a stake in LoveFilm and is its largest shareholder. Amazon.co.uk began operating in 1998.
